YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -
Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing Our Neighborhoods (ACTION) is partnering up with the Youngstown City School District as part of Ohio's new Community Connectors school mentorship program.
Ohio Gov. John Kasich proposed the program back in 2014 and since then 82 community partnerships will be able to share more than $6.8 million. The state received 192 applications.
This program is designed to help students across Ohio become motivated and develop skills, including basic job skills, career-specific and goal-setting.
The Community Connectors program will help students become successful by connecting them with local business leaders and mentors.
ACTION was granted $90,450.00.
